How the centres work

• The controlling management and faculty of TIM develop all course material.
• Faculty for individual centres is selected in adherence to very strict standards. 
• Examinations, fees, rules and administrative procedures are standardised and supervised by the controlling body.
• Industry interaction is largely the responsibility of the individual centre, but suggestions and guidance come from the controlling body.

Quality control department

This department was formed in 1996 to improve and optimise the operations of the 60 TIM centres.

Quality control is an integral part of TIM, ensuring high standards in faculty, staff, and teaching methods. TIM QC also takes care of material updation, which is important since the industry is perpetually evolving. It also looks out for new affiliations and authorisations to upgrade the value of the institute so that the student gets the maximum exposure to the industry. The department lays great importance to industrial training. It conducts special merit exams for students desiring upgradation of course.
