New TIM Centre Inaugurated

GANGTOK, Jan 20: “The minister for tourism and land revenue, Mr. KT Gyaltsen, today inaugurated a Sikkim Institute of Management and Services. The institute has been established in collaboration with the Trade Wing Institute of Management, Mumbai.”

“The institute aims to impart professional inputs to the people involved in the tourism, travel and hospitality industry. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Gyaltsen said that career-oriented courses are the need of the hour and by bringing the training institute at the doorstep, it would facilitate the people of Sikkim in getting professional training.”

Best Branch for 2001-2002 : Calcutta

The Annual Branch Managers Meeting was held in the last week of February in Hyderabad at Hotel Tulip Manohar, just adjacent to the airport. Plans for expansion and entry into the insurance training industry were discussed. Calcutta Branch was adjudged best branch for 2001-2002.

Golden Jubilee of TAAI - 50 Years

The Managing Director of Trade Wings - Mr. Vinoo Ubhaykar has been associated with TAAI almost since its inception. He was also the first Indian to be elected to the board of UFTAA as Director from Region No 3.
