Trade Wings Institute Inaugurated

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 17: The Trade-Wings Institute of Management, one of the acknowledged pioneers in the field of Travel & Tourism, under the slogan "We take your career as seriously as you do!" in consonance with its mission to 'impart professional skills to students for development of his/her versatility in responsiveness with global perspective to excel in their careers, offering specialization in Travel & Tourism Management, Airlines, Hotel Management, Computer, Spoken English and Mass Communication, has to the delight of the "globally career-oriented" youth of the City, finally become a reality, with the inauguration of its Dimapur Centre on Feb. 17, 2002 at its Centre, located at the Church Road/N Lotha in a small, yet impressive function, with Minister for Education H Chuba Chang Chief Guest.

Affirming that it is really a daunting task to choose a career, especially when one is in college or just out of it, the Chief Guest expressed his happiness to the management of Trade-Wing-Institute for opening a center in Nagaland, saying, "It is appropriate to have such an Institute in Dimapur to build up the career of the younger generation, to open their eyes to the developments that's taking place in the world around us and motivate, at the same time train them in this direction for their progress and the Naga society as a whole".

We Nagas, if we know how to utilize our potentialities can become masters in our chosen field, said the minister adding "We are second to none, if we remain true to our potentialities". "Unemployment is the root cause of all the problems plaguing our society today, the restlessness and rise in crime-rate" he said, adding that "It is providence that such a career-oriented Institute has come to the State to train and show the educated; youngsters the right way to a thriving and absorbing profession."

Speaking at the function Mangala Thapar, Centre Manager TIM, Kolkata, acquainted the gathering on the aims and objectives of the Trade Wings Institute, while also informing that the courses offered by the Institute has been designed in such a way, keeping in mind the objects of the aspiring professionals in Travel & Hotel Management, Cargo and Career Management, Logistic Management, In-flight Management and in Personality and Grooming through 'our Finishing School'. "All this courses are designed to suit your time and budget, following the highest International standards," she added.

She informed that after completing its course, an aspiring professional can look forward towards employment in different Airlines, Travel agencies & Tour operators, Cargo/Courier agencies, Tourism Organization and Hotel industries, adding "Obtaining professional training is often the best way of launching any career and at Trade Wings Institute of Management, "We take your career as seriously as you do!"

It may be mentioned here that way back in 1989, Trade Wings Limited, one of the pioneers in the field of Travel & Tourism, has conceived the idea of conducting professional courses in the field of Travel & Tourism which took shape into the formation of an Institute of management and established formal educational programs to prepare students for careers in the Travel & Hospitality fields to create professionally trained manpower to meet the ever increasing needs of the industry. This Institute, termed as "Trade Wings Institute of Management", went on to become the largest institute of its kind in India with over 60 learning centers and popularly came to be known as TIM, with its head office at Mumbai.
